My practice deals with the concepts that surround fashion, as a subject rather than a direct outcome. I would consider myself a fashion image maker referring to the visual associations of
clothing in response to the social issues of beauty and conformity. Using the same visual language that dictates to us a perfect ideal or lifestyle, making a statement about how dominating or influential the industry is over everyday life.

My recent project is inspired by the objectification of women in the media. Satirical illustration using props, food and shadow to demonstrate the overwhelming amount of pressure that we are subjected to on a daily basis concerning an ‘ideal’ or perfect body state. I use photography and short film as a way of documenting visual process, in order to illustrate a fashion directed outcome.
